A warm Welcome from the European Associationof American Square Dancing Clubs |
|---|
the European umbrella organization of clubs that practice Square Dance, Round Dance, Clogging, and Contra Dance as a hobby. Our dance forms developed from American folk dances whose basic forms were brought to America by immigrants from Europe. Here there is a list of all member associations with direct links, a calendar of events, a service area for clubs and one for dancers as well as general information about our dance divisions. Since our hobby needs a lot of music, we of course pay attention to copyright and work closely with GEMA. You can find more details about this here . Have fun dancing |

As a couple dance, round dance is very similar to ballroom dancing (standard and Latin).
Contra Dance
Contras, also known as contra dances, are usually danced in long lines. There are also dances for 3 or 4 couples.
Clogging
Clogging is related to tap dancing and developed from various European folk dance forms.
